Mr. Khisa will act as the focal point and his office will be the secretariat of BANCAT and Mr. Shoaib will act as Database Manager of BANCAT.
TOR of BANCAT WG:
- Work for achieving the objectives of the BANCAT.
- Scrutinize and prioritize the proposals and action plans of CAT documentation from contributing members of BANCAT members and institutions.
- Liaise with HIMCAT/PARDYP (Himalayan Conservation Approaches and Technologies/Peoples' and Resources Dynamics Program), ICIMOD, Katmandu, Nepal, WOCAT, Bern, Switzerland, WASWC (World Association of Soil and Water Conservation),Beijing, P.R.China, RDD ( Resource Database and Directory) of CHTDF (Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Facility)-UNDP, Rangamati, ADB-Assisted CHT Rural Development Project, Rangamati and other relevant local, national, regional and international institutions/organizations.
- Ensure quality assurance of the documented data through monitoring and evaluation.
- Co-opt or include any potential contributor as member of BANCAT.
- Arrange meeting half yearly or as and when necessary to review the progress of BANCAT activities.
- Formulate Annual Action Plan and Budget for BANCAT depending on the availability of fund.
- Facilitate research, education and dissemination of CATs and
- Provide consultancy and other support services to national, regional and international initiatives of Natural Resource Management in CHT
